Samsung is set to unveil a new kind of flexible OLED display for smartphones and tablets that can be stretched, bent, rolled and even dented up to 12mm – but won’t break.
The display will be shown off at the Society for Information Display (SID) show in Los Angeles, California this week. Other developments that Samsung will be showing off include a glasses-free 3D OLED and an LCD display with 2,250ppi.
That’s according to the Korea Herald, which reports that the soon-to-be-announced 9.1in stretchable OLED can be bent, rolled and deformed, and even dented “like a balloon” up to 12mm deep.
