It has only been a few days since last week’s Patch Tuesday which saw new security updates for all supported versions of Windows 10. And Microsoft is rolling out two new cumulative updates for the two most current versions of Windows 10 – Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709). There are no new features and just a couple of fixes. Here is a look at what’s included in today’s updates.

Windows 10 Cumulative Updates KB4464218 and KB4464217

After installing the April 2018 Update, your build number will be bumped up to 17134.256 and here is a look at what’s included with today’s update:

– Addresses a Microsoft Intune issue that occurs after installing any of the updates released between July 24, 2018 and September 11, 2018. Windows no longer recognizes the Personal Information exchange (PFX) certificate that’s used for authenticating to a Wi-Fi or VPN connection. As a result, Microsoft Intune takes a long time to deliver user profiles because it doesn’t recognize that the required certificate is on the device.

If you’re still running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update you build number will be bumped up to 16299.666 and here is a list of what’s included in the update:

– Addresses an issue that may prevent a VPN connection from establishing for some users that are using VPN with IKEv2. The connection fails with the error, “Remote Access Error 809.”

Of course, you should get these update s in the background automatically. Or, if you want to stay on top of things head to Settings > Updates & Security > Windows update. Or, you can manually download KB4464218 for 1803 or manually download KB4464217 for 1709. After the update, hit the Windows key and type: winver and hit Enter to see your build number has been bumped up.
